PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of performing real-time display of non-compressed image signals and time-shift display of compressed image signals on a TV by concurrently transmitting the compressed image signals and the non-compressed image signals via one interface.SOLUTION: An STB 11 (Set Top Box) packetizes a compressed image signal and performs multiplex transmission during a blanking interval of a non-compressed image signal, thereby concurrently transmitting both of the image signals. The non-compressed image signal is displayed in real time at a side of a TV 12, the compressed image signal is recorded in an accumulation device 128 provided inside the TV, read out and decoded at user's desired time, thereby time-shift viewing can be performed. |
