The movable object assistance device of an embodiment is characterized in being equipped with: a keeper provided on either a support or a movable object that moves relative to the support; a foundation provided on the other of the support or the movable object; an abutting body comprising a base that is movably provided in the foundation, a cam provided on the base to be rotatable and to be able to engage with or release the engagement with the keeper by rotating, and a regulating member that is slidable with respect to the base and guides the movement of the cam; and an energizing mechanism that energizes the abutting body. |
