A lock ring (100) that has a first ring half (200), a second ring half (300) and a latch assembly. The first ring half (200) includes a nest opening on a front portion (260) of the first ring half (200), a back end portion (250) of the first ring portion (200) hingedly connected to a back end portion (360) of the second ring half (300). The latch assembly is connected to a front portion (360) of the second ring half (300). The latch assembly includes a connection arrangement (410, 419) and a spring system. The connection arrangement (410, 419) is designed to be releasably positionable in the nest opening. The spring system is designed to cause the front portions of the first and second ring halves (200, 30) to be drawn toward one another when the connection arrangement (410, 419) is positioned in the nest opening. |
