497,310. Torpedo screens. HENDRA, W. S. March 30, 1938, No. 9745. [Class 113 (i)] Torpedo screens formed of rods 27 of wedge shaped cross-section are hinged at the ends of booms 19. When the booms are down the screens are locked by the bolt 34 passing over a pin 32 on the arm 33. The booms rest in their lower positions on the brackets 10, the sliding locking pin 13 preventing accidental lifting. The locking pins are withdrawn by ropes 16, 36 and the booms lifted by ropes 40. |
