<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air hydrostatic bearing spindle device capable of preventing a spindle from becoming unrotatable even when ambient temperature is lower, and to provide a rotary atomizer and a coating device using the device. <P>SOLUTION: The air hydrostatic bearing spindle device 20 includes the spindle 21 having a shaft part 22 and a flange part 23, a bearing body 31, radial bearing members 41A, 42A each having a radial gap 43 to the shaft part 22, and thrust bearing members 41B, 42B each having a thrust gap 45 to the flange part 23. The thrust gap is formed to be 40 μm or smaller in the state that ambient temperature is 20°C. To secure the thrust gap of 10 μm or greater in the state that the ambient temperature is 0°C, the linear expansion coefficient of a material used for each of the bearing body 31 and the thrust bearing members 41B, 42B is selected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
