<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit for air conditioner, having a blowout flow passage through which air having passed through a heat exchanger in the horizontal direction is led to a blowout opening while turning downward, arranging a wind direction adjusting member which has an under surface flatted, in the blowout opening, and inhibiting the generation of dew condensation on the under surface of the wind direction adjusting member during cooling operation. <P>SOLUTION: The blowout flow passage 40 is divided by: an outer wall part 26, which is opposed to a heat exchanger 15 on the outside in the horizontal direction and changes the direction of air downward, which flows out outward in the horizontal direction from the heat exchanger 15; and an opposite wall part 50 opposed to the outer wall part 26 on the inside in the horizontal direction. The opposite wall part 50 includes an upper edge face 51 and an outer face 52 situated below the upper edge face 51.
