The present invention relates to a coupler which is provided at the rear end of a vehicle to tow a trailer and, more specifically, to a coupler which is provided at the rear end of a vehicle to tow a trailer, wherein an insertion groove for inserting a kingpin coupled to the lower end of the trailer is formed at the center of the coupler body, sliding wing portions extending and inclined downward are formed on both sides centered on the insertion groove of the coupler body at the rear end of the coupler body, the trailer lifts from the front to the rear of the coupler body along the sliding wing portions, and a reinforcing ribs structure of a coupler for a vehicle supports a load applied to the coupler body and protruding on the lower face of the coupler for a vehicle provided with multiple bolt coupling holes for being fixed to a hinge coupling portion at the rear of the vehicle on both sides of the coupler body. A kingpin load support body protrudes to integrally surround the insertion groove on the lower face of the coupler body, a bolt load support body protrudes around each bolt coupling hole, and at least one reinforcing rib protrudes and extends in one direction of the lower face of the coupler body to the other side, in which one end is formed integrally with the bolt load support body or the kingpin load support body. According to the present invention, a light-weight optimal reinforcing rib arrangement structure is designed even considering a distribution load value of the trailer applied to the coupler body and various friction load values applied to the coupler body by mounting the trailer and vehicle driving, and it is possible to improve fuel efficiency at the time of vehicle driving through lighter weight while supporting a predetermined load applied to the vehicle coupler. |
