The present invention addresses the problem of providing an exhaust gas shutoff control device with which exhaust gas does not easily leak from the clearance between a valve and a valve seat when the valve is fully closed. This exhaust gas shutoff control device (1) is equipped with: a valve (3) having a valve body (30); a housing (2) in which an exhaust gas passage (20) having a valve seat (220) is formed; an actuator (4) that drives the valve body (30); and a control unit (5) having a storage unit (51) in which a fully-open position (P2) and a fully-closed position (P1) are stored in advance, and a calculation unit (50) that executes a full-closure step wherein the valve body (30) is switched from any position to the fully-closed position (P1) by controlling the actuator (4). This control device is characterized in that, with the position of the valve body (30) when the valve body (30) is seated in the valve seat (220) as the contact position (P3), after the full-closure step, the calculation unit (50) executes a pressing step wherein the valve body (30) is moved from the fully-closed position (P1) to the contact position (P3), and the valve body (30) is pressed against the valve seat (220) with a prescribed pressing force (F1). |
