PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device capable of achieving both sealing performance and cost control.SOLUTION: A sealing device which is provided with sealing grooves 32b, 35a which are installed respectively on opposite surfaces to segments 21a, 21b that are adjacent to each other, and a sealing member 36b which is inserted in a way that it straddles the sealing grooves and seals the flow of the liquid which passes between the segments that are adjacent to each other is equipped with an opening section formed by edge part sealing surfaces 39a, 39c which connect first sealing groove surfaces 38a, 38c and the opposite surfaces to the segments that are adjacent to each other. In the sealing device, the sealing member 36b is formed in a shape of which a cross-section shape perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the member is provided with projections at a center part on the upstream side in the flow direction of the leaked liquid and both end parts on the downstream side in the flow direction of the leaked liquid, and the opening section of the sealing grooves is formed in a shape which spreads towards the opposite surfaces to the segments that are adjacent to each other. |
