PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tensioner which reduces noise arising from vibration of a pressing body, which is miniaturized, and of which installation cost is reduced by controlling the vibration of the pressing body, which is generated when a variable load acts that is based on fluctuation of a reaction force from a wound transmission body, by a mechanical structure using the moment of inertia of a rotating mass body.SOLUTION: A tensioner 100 includes: a pressing body 101 which presses a movable lever 17 that guides a running chain 16 against the chain 16; a spring 103 which makes a spring force which advances the pressing body 101 that performs reciprocal motion of advancement and retraction, act on the pressing body 101; a rotating mass body 104; and a rack/pinion mechanism 110 which converts the reciprocal motion of the pressing body 101 to the rotational motion of the rotating mass body 104. The rotating mass body 104 which rotates integrally with a pinion 111 rotated by the reciprocal motion of the pressing body 101, constitutes an inertial resistance body to the reciprocal motion of the pressing body 101 by its moment of inertia. |
