Method in which for each pixel of a sub-frame the following steps are carried out: comparison of the color value of a pixel of the preceding sub-frame with a reference value in order to generate a recovery value that is a function of the recovery time of the current sub-frame; if the color value of the pixel of the current sub-frame minus the recovery value equals a positive value, then a time shift is to be added to its value; if it is negative the color value of the pixel of the previous sub-frame is forced equal to zero.
