The invention relates to a torsional vibration damper (100, 200, 300, 400, 500), particularly a dual mass flywheel, comprising an input part (102, 202, 402, 502) and an output part (106, 206, 506) having a common axis of rotation (110), about which the input part and the output part can be rotated together and twisted relative to one another to a limited degree. Said torsional vibration damper has two power paths (A, B) branching on the input part and brought together in the output part by means of a planetary gear arrangement, said power paths comprising a first power path (A) designed to be rotationally elastic by means of a spring device (108, 208, 508) arranged between the input part and an intermediate part (104, 204, 302, 504) connected in a driving manner to the planetary gear arrangement and a second power path (B) connected so as to be rotationally rigid in a driving manner to the planetary gear arrangement. In order to achieve improved vibration isolation properties, particularly at low rotational speed ranges of the torsional vibration damper, a value of a transmission ratio of the second power path over the first power path greater than one is specified. |
