[Class 65 (ii)] A window is provided on both sides with hinges, each of which comprises a short butt 3 attached to the window sash 1 and a long butt 5 passed through or laterally by the frame 2 and secured thereto by a releasable bolt or catch 17. The long butt 5 may be T- shaped with its shoulders abutting against an angle plate 9 secured to or let into the frame 2. When applied to a stormproof window, the long butt 5 may be arcuate and the short butt 3 L-shaped. |
