PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to a housing 3 when press-fitting a fitting ring of a resin seal 5, in a valve device preventing leakage around a rotary shaft 9 by the resin seal 5 which is made of fluorine resin as a raw material.SOLUTION: A resin seal 5 which is made of fluorine resin as a raw material is pinched by a metal bearing 19 and a step 29 of a housing 3 in an axial direction, and arranged on the upstream side of all functional components 4 around the shaft with regard to a leakage flow of exhaust gas around a rotary shaft 9. Thereby, the resin seal 5 functions as a shaft seal by coming into sliding contact with an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft 9. Also, even without using a fitting ring which was conventionally needed for holding the resin seal 5, the resin seal 5 can be held and brought into sliding contact with the rotary shaft 9. Therefore, press-fitting work of the fitting ring can be eliminated, and damage to the housing 3 can be prevented. |
