The device (1) has a data processing and transmission unit (4) connected to a microphone (2) and a loudspeaker (3) for emitting outgoing audio communications and receiving incoming audio communications. A recording unit (11) records audio messages corresponding to all the communications. A transcription unit (13) transcribes each one of the messages into a text message in real-time. A display unit (15) displays each text message on a screen (17) while indicating source e.g. air traffic control and pilots of aircrafts, at an origin of the message. An independent claim is also included for a system for assisting to audio communication in aeronautical field.
