Provided is a particle detection device for detecting biologically derived particles at a high sensitivity. The particle detection device is provided with: a collection member (10), having a principal surface, for collecting particles on the principal surface; a beaming unit (21) for beaming excitation light on the particles collected on the principal surface; a light-receiving part (34) for receiving fluorescent light emitted by the particles as a result of the excitation light being beamed on the particles; a heating unit for heating the particles; and a detector for detecting, on the basis of the intensity of the fluorescent light at the light-receiving part, biologically derived particles from the particles collected on the principal surface; and is further provided with a filter (26) for cutting components, scattered by the particles collected on the principal surface, of the excitation light beamed from the beaming unit, the filter (26) being installed between the beaming unit and the principal surface. |
