PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the intensity of output light in an optical input-output device while suppressing the generation of a crosstalk to another port.SOLUTION: A drive circuit DRV applies, to each pixel of a phase modulation element 14, a composite pattern in which an emitting angle control phase pattern 51 having a first pattern cycle length Λ is superposed on a light intensity control phase pattern 52 having a second pattern cycle length w. In this case, the first pattern cycle length Λ comprises a pattern cycle length for generating light intensity distribution in which an object light intensity peak 61 of emitted light is located in an angle direction matching the angle direction of an object output port, and the second pattern cycle length w comprises a pattern cycle length for generating light intensity distribution in which an unwanted light intensity peak 62 of emitted light is located in an angle direction not matching the angle direction of each output port. |
