<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching regulator that can suppress a rise of output voltage due to an overcurrent protection operation or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A switching regulator includes:an inductor whose one end is configured to input an input voltage thereto and the other end is connected to an output terminal; a first switching element whose one end is connected to the other end of the inductor and the other end is connected to a ground point; and a capacitor whose one end is connected to the output terminal and the other end is connected to the ground point. The switching regulator increases the input voltage by a switching operation of the first switching element and outputs the input voltage from the output terminal. The switching regulator includes a control section to perform a switch stop operation in which the first switching element is held in its off-state by stopping the switching operation. The control section holds the first switching element in the off-state after maintaining the first switching element in its on-state for a predetermined set time when the switching operation is stopped in the switch stop operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
