[Also in Group XXV] A coupler for a glove and described particularly with reference to connecting a child's glove to the coat-sleeve to prevent loss, comprises a pair of clips each consisting of a pair of jaws which are resiliently urged into the open position and closed by a toggle member pivoted on one of the jaws, the toggle members of the two clips being connected together by a flexible coupling. Thus two clips each having a jaw 5, Fig. 2, with lugs 8 providing pivot holes 9 for a toggle 10 which actuates a jaw 6 are connected by an elastic or other flexible fabric band 4. The jaws 17, 19, Fig. 8, may be separate, one jaw 19 having a resilient tongue 20 pressed out therefrom to engage the jaw 17. The flexible connection 4 may be secured by turned over lugs 15 on the toggle member 16.</p> |
