A hair roller, comprising two separable portions 1, 2 coupled to one another at one end by a linking member 15, which enables movement of the two portions between an open position and a closed position, where they form a body. In the open position hair can be placed between the portions, then in the closed the hair can be wrapped round the body. The linking member may comprise a clip 14, for manually manipulating the portions between the two positions. The roller may be used to apply heat to the hair. Each of the portions may comprise a core 19 which may each be connected to a heater. The heater may be disposed within the core. The roller may also comprise means for applying chemicals to users hair. The contact surfaces of the portions may comprise apertures 25, for the chemicals to flow through. A frame member may be used to assist the flow. |
