The present invention relates to a method for separating an organometallic catalyst comprising the steps of: adding water to a carbonate reaction mixture containing the organometallic catalyst to manufacture a first reactant in which a heterogeneous metal oxide is formed; heating and cooling the first reactant to manufacture a second reactant; adding an organic solvent to the second reactant to form a precipitate; and filtering out the precipitate to collect the organometallic catalyst. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for highly efficiently separating an organometallic catalyst, which is present in a homogeneous phase in an organic compound, without use of filter aids.
