The present invention relates to a memory system for processing data from a memory device and a method of operating the memory system. The memory system includes a memory device including a plurality of memory blocks wherein each of the memory blocks including pages of which each of the pages including memory cells that are electrically connected with a plurality of word lines, wherein the memory cells store read and write data that are requested by a host; and a controller storing a first data corresponding to a read command received from the host by reading from a fist memory block in the memory blocks, to a buffer, providing the stored first data in the buffer to the host, and storing the first data by writing the first data from the memory blocks to a second memory block. |
