The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for executing two or more applications and switching the applications, which are currently executed, more easily, and to a control method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the control method of a mobile terminal comprises the following steps of: executing at least one first function; executing a second function so that an execution screen of the second function is displayed on a touch screen; when inclination is sensed through a motion sensor, displaying an execution screen of the at least one first function while a first visual effect is applied to the execution screen of the second function to correspond to the sensed inclination; and when a touch input is sensed on the touch screen while the execution screen of the at least one first function is displayed, executing a function corresponding to the touch input among the at least one first function and the second function in the foreground, and executing a remaining function except for the functions corresponding to the touch input in the background. |
