Some existing seats comprise a structure that allows users to stretch out their legs; however, these types of seats are not provided with stowable telescopic sliding extension systems upholstered with substantially isometric fabric. The invention concerns a seating and/or reclining furniture item that comprises a telescopic sliding extension system (5) upholstered with resilient and substantially isometric composite fabric (12), said system being capable of being moved between a non-use position in which it is stowed inside the seat (2) and a use position in which it projects towards the front of the seat. With the seat back (3) lowered and the extension (5) extended, the device is capable of forming an item of relaxation furniture. The device according to the invention is intended for improving the comfort of seating and/or reclining furniture. |
