APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MONITORING WATER LEVEL IN PIPE

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method to monitor a water level in a pipe. The method to monitor a water level in the pipe comprises: a step of transmitting ultrasonic waves generated by a plurality of ultrasonic transducers arranged on the outside of a pipe, and separated from each other into the pipe through a solid contact medium; a step of checking whether a refection wave for each ultrasonic wave is present; and a step of determining the water level based on whether a refection wave for each ultrasonic wave is present. The present invention easily and simply builds the apparatus to monitor a long-term water level in the pipe using a nondestructive method.
