摘要 Disclosed are a negative electrode material adaptive to a cycle of lithium intercalation and de-intercalation and a method of manufacturing the same. According to the present invention, provided is a method of manufacturing a negative electrode material of a lithium secondary battery, which includes the steps of: coating polymer on a negative electrode active material surface; forming radical on the coated polymer; mixing the active material having the polymer coating on which the radical is formed with a conductive material to manufacture negative electrode material slurry; coating the negative electrode material slurry on a substrate; crosslinking the polymer of the coated negative electrode material slurry; and drying the crosslinked negative electrode material slurry. According to the present invention, the negative electrode material for a lithium battery is capable of improving cycle characteristics of a battery by proving buffering mechanism which is more rigid by the expansion and contraction due to the cycle of lithium intercalation and de-intercalation.
