A display panel according to the present invention comprises: a first substrate; a second substrate which is arranged to face the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer which is arranged between the first and second substrates. The first substrate includes: a grid pattern which is arranged on the first substrate to extend in one direction and includes a plurality of grooves which are spaced from one another; and a polarizing element which includes a plurality of metal wires arranged in the grooves. An objective of the present invention is to provide a polarizing element which improves optical efficiency of the display panel.
