The present invention is to provide an Internet protocol television (IPTV) home health system capable of making a user to exercise in an exercise environment reproduced like real, and a home health service providing method. The IPTV home health system includes a set-top box, a home health platform server, and a control platform server. The set-top box receives exercise control information from a home health device, receives user information, transmits the exercise control information and the user information to the home health platform server, receives exercising amount information from the home health platform server, and displays the user information and the exercising amount information through a display device. The home health platform server provides the exercising amount information which is drawn based on the exercise control information and the user information. The control platform server monitors each state information of the home health device, the set-top box, and the home health platform server on a predetermined cycle. The exercising amount information includes at least one among the exercise time, times of exercise, exercise distance, exercise speed, consumption calorie, and achievement in contrast to goals. The user information includes at least one among a user name, a predetermined avatar, and a setting goal. The state information includes at least one among a connection state between the home health device, the set-top box, and the home health platform server, a sensor operation state, a load state, a memory use state, and a CPU use state. |
