According to an embodiment of the present invention, an operating method of a data storage device includes the following steps: generating a completion packet whenever a data processing operation corresponding to each of commands is completed and storing the generated completion packet in a buffer; and transmitting the completion packets stored in the buffer to a host through single transaction. Addresses corresponding to the commands are continuous, and the data processing operation can include any one from a write operation and a read operation. The present invention can continuously transmit the completion stored in the buffer to the host through the single transaction.
