Provided is an apparatus to test a superconductive wire material, capable of rapidly detecting a defect and/or a threshold current included in a superconductive wire material, comprising: a transfer unit transferring and unloading the superconductive wire material to a cooling area; a measurement current supply unit supplying a measurement current to a measurement portion of the superconductive wire material transferred to the cooling area; a magnetic field detecting unit detecting a magnetic field formed in the measurement portion of the superconductive wire material; and a defect determining unit determining a defect of the measurement portion from a pattern of the detected magnetic field. The transfer unit is able to transfer the superconductive wire material wound around a supply reel to a winding reel by passing through the measurement portion; the measurement current supply unit may include a pair of guide rollers guiding transfer of the superconductive wire material; and the magnetic field detecting unit may include a plurality of hall sensors to detect the magnetic field of a plurality of points of the measurement portion. |
