The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device capable of improving image quality by reducing kickback voltage. The liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a gate line extending in a first direction; a first data line and a second data line extending in a second direction crossing the first direction; a first thin film transistor including a first gate electrode connected to the gate line, a first source electrode connected to the first data line, and a first drain electrode; a second thin film transistor including a second gate electrode connected to the gate line, a second source electrode connected to the first data line, and a second drain electrode; a third thin film transistor including a third gate electrode connected to the gate line, a third source electrode connected to the second drain electrode, and a third drain electrode; a vertical storage electrode line extending between the first data line and the second data line and connected to the third drain electrode; a lower passivation layer disposed on the first to third thin film transistors and the vertical storage electrode line; an insulating layer disposed on the lower passivation layer; a first subpixel electrode disposed on the insulating layer and connected to the first drain electrode; and a second subpixel electrode disposed on the insulating layer and connected to the second drain electrode. The vertical storage electrode line includes a first extension unit which is disposed adjacent to the gate line. The insulating layer includes a first opening which exposes the lower passivation layer corresponding to the first extension unit. The second subpixel electrode includes a first protrusion unit which is overlapped with the first extension unit in the first opening to form a reinforced storage capacitor.
