FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a molding composition containing a halobutyl elastomer. A rubber molding composition for tire treads comprising halobutyl elastomer, at least one additional elastomer, a mineral filler and a mixed modifier system comprising 0.1 to 15 wt. parts per 100 wt. parts of rubber (phr) silane, and 0.1 to 6.0 wt. parts per 100 wt. parts of rubber (phr) phosphine, and contains modifiers in an amount providing: a) mooney viscosity (ML 1 + 4 at 100 °C) from 20 to 85; b) mooney scorch rate (MS LR at 125 °C, t05 minutes) greater than 30; c) parameters using MDR cure (1.7 Hz, 1°arc, 160 °C, 30 min, 100 dH·m) from 20 to 45 (MH) or 2 to 9 (ML); d) an ultimate elongation of 178 % to 367 %; e) the number of Shore A2 hardness of from 40 to 90 units; f) abrasion (DIN) (t90 + 10) of from 50 to 200 mmand g) the tan δ at 0 °C from 0.1 to 70.
