PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make possible elongation of the service life of driving means while suppressing developer consumption.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus equipped with a photoreceptor drum, an electrifying device that uniformly electrifies the surface of the photoreceptor drum, an exposing device that forms an electrostatic latent image by exposing the uniformly electrified surface of the photoreceptor drum, a developing device that develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor drum with a developer into a toner image and a photoreceptor drive motor that endlessly moves the photoreceptor drum. In this image formation apparatus, when to end image forming operation, drive by drive means is stopped after exposing the latent image carrier part, which is to be positioned between the point of exposure by exposing means and the point of development by developing means at the end of image forming operation at the time of having stopped drive by the driving means, and when to start image forming operation, after starting drive by the driving means, exposure over the latent image carrier is accomplished by the exposure means until the latent image carrier positioned at the point of exposure means by the exposing means reaches the point of exposure by the exposure means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
