PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for taking different measures for a load device depending on the number of remaining battery modules, when disconnecting an abnormal battery module from the load device, in a battery pack having a plurality of battery modules.SOLUTION: A battery monitoring device controlling to disconnect an abnormal battery module from a feeder to a load device 200, when abnormality is detected in at least one of battery modules 121-123, includes an alarm transmission unit 111 transmitting an alarm signal foretelling disconnection to the load device before disconnecting an abnormal battery module, and a disconnection control unit 113 for controlling to disconnect an abnormal battery module upon elapsing a first wait time after transmitting the alarm signal, if there are one or more remaining battery modules when an abnormal battery module is disconnected, and to disconnect an abnormal battery module after a second wait time or after receiving a disconnection permission signal from the load device, if the remaining battery module is zero.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
