The plumb-bob calibration apparatus (21, 22) comprises a housing. The housing has arranged therein an orbit space (7) and an action element (2). The action element (2) moves within the orbit space (7). The housing also has arranged therein a sensor component that senses induction signals of the action element (2) when at different positions in the orbit space (7). Use of the plumb-bob calibration apparatus aids the working of an acceleration sensor in the glass-wiping robot, and verifies the accuracy of a detection result, thus allowing the glass-wiping robot to make horizontal or vertical movements with reduced linear error at all times.
