A liquid crystal display device and a liquid crystal display panel (10) thereof. Each pixel unit (20) of the liquid crystal display panel (10) comprises reflection areas (A) and transmission areas (B) that are alternately arranged, wherein the reflection areas (A) are correspondingly provided with reflection layers (112) and common electrodes (121); the transmission areas (B) are correspondingly provided with pixel electrodes (111) and common electrodes (121); and voltage is applied to the pixel electrodes (111) and the common electrodes (121) to realize half-transmission half-reflection display of the liquid crystal display panel (10). In this way, driving voltage can be lowered, the transmittance of light can be improved, and the display viewing angle can be enlarged; with the adoption of vertical orientation, dark-state light leakage can be reduced, and the display contrast can be improved; and with the adoption of a single-box thickness structure, the difficulty of a manufacturing process can be lowered. |
