A data processing method and device. The method comprises: acquiring a new-version software package (401), the new-version software package containing new-version software packages with various functional characteristics; receiving an upgrade command issued by a user (402), the upgrade command containing an identifier of a functional characteristic designated to be upgraded by the user; creating a new-version catalogue based on the functional characteristics designated to be upgraded by the user and decompressing the new-version software packages with the functional characteristics designated to be upgraded by the user into a new-version catalogue corresponding to the functional characteristic (403); upgrading data and files in an old-version catalogue of the functional characteristics designated to be upgraded by the user into a corresponding new-version catalogue (404); and starting the data and files in the new-version catalogue of the functional characteristic designated to be upgraded by the user to complete the upgrade (405). By means of the method and device, the functional characteristics designated to be upgraded or backspaced by a user can be upgraded or backspaced to meet different requirements of the user. |
