A plant scanning and reconstructing method, the method comprising: conducting an overall scanning on a plant to obtain overall scanning data of the plant; conducting separate scanning on each leaf of the plant to obtain point cloud data of each leaf; reconstructing the point cloud data of each leaf into a model of a curved surface, and obtaining the reconstructing result of a stem via Poisson reconstructing algorithm; aligning all the reconstructed leaves and stems with the overall scanning data of the plant; and merging the point cloud data of all the aligned leaves together to obtain the model of an entire plant. The reconstructing process for each leaf is completely automatic and does not require interaction, thus greatly reducing user workload; the policy of separately scanning and reconstructing each leaf, namely, a dividing-and-controlling policy, improves scanning and reconstructing precision. |
