The present invention relates to a communication method and an apparatus for transmitting a frame in which a WLAN preamble is inserted into a start section in a front portion of each frame in a licensed communication system, such as long term evolution (LTE) or the like, in order to use a non-licensed band along with a non-licensed band communication system, such as a wireless local area network (WLAN), a radar system, or the like. The communication method comprises the steps of: transmitting, by a transmitter, a signal in which a WLAN preamble signal has been inserted into a front portion of each frame; and extracting, by a receiver, the WLAN preamble signal from the signal and synchronizing with the transmitter.
