PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out straight line detection processing using Hough transformation, with the same reference, without depending on a direction or a position in an image.SOLUTION: A Hough transforming portion 14 carries out Hough transformation to binary image data 104 to which contour enhancement is performed. In a Hough table 15, a total value after the Hough transformation is stored. A straight line calculating portion 161 obtains an intersection when each straight line cuts off the binary image data 104, about each straight line in the binary image data 104, and calculates a distance Len between the intersections. A normalizing portion 162 divides the total value stored in the Hough table 15 by the distance Len between the intersections, and normalizes the total value. A straight line detecting portion 16 detects a straight line on the basis of the normalized total value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
