PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating a lithium composite oxide capable of inexpensively regenerating lithium composite oxide that has excellent charge/discharge capacity when used as a cathode active material of an electrochemical device.SOLUTION: A method for regenerating a lithium composite oxide includes: preparing a lithium composite precursor in which lithium has been partially extracted electrochemically or chemically; and causing a lithium compound to react with the lithium composite precursor in which the lithium has been partially extracted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
