PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of improving performance for dissolving a discharge failure.SOLUTION: An inkjet printer 1 is equipped with: a printing part 2 having an ink jet head having a nozzle for discharging ink, a pressure tank for storing the ink to be supplied to the ink jet head, a negative pressure tank for receiving the ink which is not consumed in the ink jet head, and a circulation path for circulating the ink among the pressure tank, the inkjet head and the negative pressure tank; a pressure application part 3 which applies a positive pressure to the pressure tank and selectively applies a negative pressure and a positive pressure to the negative pressure tank; and a control part 6 which controls the pressure application part 3 to apply the positive pressure to the pressure tank and the negative pressure tank, and thus, executes a purge for discharging the ink from the nozzle of the ink jet head.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
