The present invention relates to an image correction apparatus comprising: a camera unit for outputting a top view image by photographing an image around a vehicle; an illumination sensor for outputting an illumination value around the camera unit; a solar sensor for outputting a vectorial angle value and a phase value of the sun by being installed on the top of the vehicle; a shadow region calculation unit for outputting the size of a shadow region of the vehicle by considering at least one among the vectorial angle value and the phase value of the sun; and an image correction unit for correcting brightness of the top view image by considering at least one among the illumination value and the size of a shadow region. The image correction apparatus according to the present invention can output a brightness value of a top view image according to a vectorial angle value and a phase value of the sun, and correct an image by reflecting influences of excessive direct sunlight on the image. |
