PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an olivine type positive electrode active substance for a lithium ion secondary battery, which includes no S, and which can deliver a positive electrode material capable of realization of superior battery physical properties; and a method for producing such a positive electrode active substance.SOLUTION: An olivine type positive electrode active substance for a lithium ion secondary battery is expressed by the formula (A), LiFeMnMPO(A) (where M represents Mg, Ca, Sr, Y, Zr, Mo, Ba, Pb, Bi, La, Ce, Nd or Gd; "a", "b" and "c" represent numbers which satisfy 0<a<0.5, 0.5<b<1, 0≤c≤0.2, and 2a+2b+(the valence of M)×c=2), and includes no S.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
