PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce communication traffic between network segments.SOLUTION: A license management system comprises a plurality of nodes (node 100-1 to node 100-3) that belong to the same network segment and each hold license information. Each node includes: information collection means for collecting license information held by other nodes in the same network segment; and information transmission means for transmitting part or all of the license information collected by the information collection means to a manager machine 200 belonging to a network segment different from the same network segment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
