PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system which reduces man-hours for design or man-hours for evaluation caused by a change of a threshold for each model when making a threshold determination about the fact that a read image quality of the system is reduced relatively to that at a factory shipment time, and an image processing method.SOLUTION: A shipment time data reading section 202 stores white reference data of a white reference board in a nonvolatile memory at a shipment inspection time. During ordinary use, while using white reference data which are acquired by reading the white reference board by a read time data reading part 203 and the stored white reference data at the factory shipment time, an image read discrimination part 204 calculates a parameter relating to the quantity of incident light to an image reading sensor, makes the threshold determination about whether a value of the parameter is equal to or greater than a predetermined lowest image quality reference and, if equal to or greater than the threshold, executes a job including image reading but, if smaller than the threshold, does not execute the job.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
