PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor which includes a rotor with a high-rigidity flange part, is small-sized and has high reliability.SOLUTION: A spindle motor 1 comprises: a stator 30 that is fixed to a base plate 35 and has a stator core 31 around which a coil 33 is wounded; and a rotor 20 that is relatively rotatable to the stator 30. The rotor 20 includes: a rotor hub 21 which has an outer cylindrical part 21a surrounding the stator core 31 and a flange part 21b which extends from the outer cylindrical part 21a to a radial outside and on which a disk is placed and held ; a rotor magnet 23 which is fixed to a radial inside of the outer cylindrical part 21a; and a reinforcement member 25 which is arranged below the rotor magnet 23, and of which at least part is overlapped with the flange part 21b when viewed from the radial direction of outer cylindrical part 21a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
