发明名称 ASSIGNING LEVELS OF POOLS OF RESOURCES TO A SUPER PROCESS HAVING SUB-PROCESSES
摘要 Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for assigning levels of pools of resources in an operating system to a super process having sub-processes. A plurality of first level pools of resources are reserved in the operating system for first level processes to perform a first level operation and invoke at least one second level process to perform a second level operation. A plurality of second level pools of resources are reserved in the operating system for second level processes. One of the second level pools of resources assigned to one of the second level processes is released and available to assign to another second level process when the second level process completes the second level operation for which it was invoked.

主权项 1. A computer program product for assigning resources to processes invoked in an operating system, the computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer readable storage medium having computer readable program code embodied therein that executes to perform operations, the operations comprising: reserving a plurality of first level pools of resources in the operating system for first level processes invoked in the operating system, wherein each of the first level processes are invoked to perform a first level operation, wherein each of the first level processes are capable of invoking at least one second level process to perform a second level operation to perform a sub-operation of the first level operation, wherein one of the first level pools of resources assigned to one of the first level processes is released and available to assign to another first level process when the first level process completes the first level operation for which it was invoked; and reserving a plurality of second level pools of resources in the operating system for second level processes invoked in the operating system by the first level processes, wherein one of the second level pools of resources assigned to one of the second level processes is released and available to assign to another second level process when the second level process completes the second level operation for which it was invoked.
