The invention relates to a hose (1) made from an elastomer and/or thermoplast, said hose comprising a flexible and resilient hose main body (2) and a first helical reinforcing device (3) which is partially or fully embedded in the hose main body (2). In order to provide a hose which is well protected against damage yet which remains sufficiently flexible and easy to handle, at least one further helical reinforcing device (4) is provided which is partially or fully embedded in the hose main body (2), wherein: at least two of the provided reinforcing devices (3, 4) are arranged on different radial planes which overlap each other radially at most partially; the material of the reinforcing devices (3, 4) is flexible and resilient to a lesser extent than the material of the hose main body (2); and wherein each two adjacent reinforcing devices (3, 4) are arranged with an axial offset in relation to one another in such a way that between the radial projections of said reinforcing devices, there is a maximum axial distance which is less than the smaller diameter of the two reinforcing devices (3, 4). |
