PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor drive capable of cooling a stator efficiently even in a low-speed rotation region, without up-sizing an electric motor for vehicle driving.SOLUTION: An in-wheel motor drive includes a wheel bearing 5, an electric motor 1, and an oil supply mechanism Jk. The electric motor 1 has a motor housing 8, a stator 9 provided in the motor housing 8, and a rotor 10 rotatable for the stator 9. The oil supply mechanism Jk includes lubricant oil paths 23, 24 provided in the shaft center of the motor housing 8 and electric motor 1, respectively, and a built-in pump 27 for introducing the lubricant to the rotor 10 and stator 9 via the oil paths 23, 24. The oil supply mechanism Jk is provided with an oil hole 26 for supplying the lubricant from the way of the oil path 23 provided in the motor housing 8, so as to cool the stator 9 from the outer surface side of the stator 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
